Leduc County's Land Use Bylaw update
We’re updating the Land Use Bylaw and we need your input to shape the future landscape of Leduc County.
What’s a land use bylaw?
The Land Use Bylaw is the primary document we use to guide decisions on planning applications for everything from building a shed to building a shopping mall. It outlines what types of development is allowed on each parcel of land in the County.
Why are we updating it?
We need a land use bylaw that meets the needs of the municipality, our residents and the business community for the next 10 to 15 years.
Now that the County has completed the update to our Municipal Development Plan (MDP), the Land Use Bylaw needs to be revised to make sure it aligns with the long-term direction of the MDP and other policies, regulations and legislation.
To reach our goal of having a bylaw that is consistent, transparent and easy to understand, we want to review the existing bylaw to identify what's working and what's not.
We’re hosting four open houses to share our vision and gather your input on key areas of the project.
