Leduc County (the County) is committed to operating its websites as an effective method of communication with interested users. Part of that commitment is to explain what information may be collected and why, how it will be used, and who may have access to it. 

The County owns and operates this website as an information service to its residents and to the public generally. This website is a supplement to and not a replacement for, information available from the County administrative offices. All of the material provided on this website is the sole property of the County and cannot be duplicated in whole or in part without the express written permission of the County. The County reserves the right to determine what information shall and shall not be placed on this website, including requests to link and post other content. 

The County is not responsible for any damages incurred, either directly or indirectly, from the use of this website or the materials provided herein. 

By using this website, you are agreeing to be bound by the current version of this privacy statement. The County reserves the right to change or modify this site at any time without notice. 

Collection, use and disclosure of personal information 

Leduc County follows the guidelines outlined in the Leduc County Information and Records Management Policy and the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act.

You can access many records held by Leduc County without making a formal FOIP request. Email the FOIP coordinator or call 780-770-9251 to determine if your request requires a FOIP application.

The County will not sell, exchange or otherwise disclose the personal information collected through this website for commercial or marketing purposes. 

We only collect, retain and use personal information where we believe it is essential (and allowed by law) to administer our business and to provide services and other opportunities requested by you. 

The only time we collect your personal information on this website is when you voluntarily provide it to us. This includes when you: 

  • participate in an online forum, poll or survey
  • fill in a feedback or contact form
  • request further information about a specific topic
  • send us an email

In each instance where we collect your personal information, we will disclose the legislation authorizing the collection, how the information will be used by us, and the name and contact information of an individual who is knowledgeable about that program or service for which that information is being used.

Use of cookies

The County is committed to creating an accessible online environment and making its web documents available to everyone. There may be instances where not all content is in an accessible format, such as maps or Geographic Information System (GIS) data, engineering drawings or site maps for planning applications, complex technical data, and legacy documents. To request an accessible alternative for non-accessible content, please email the FOIP coordinator
