Voluntary restriction on non-essential water use

Effective June 9, 2025, Leduc County is encouraging all residential and business citizens to voluntarily limit non-essential water use.

The recent hot, dry weather has resulted in increased water usage, which is causing an increased demand on the regional water system. To ensure water levels in Leduc County water reservoirs remain sufficient for peak customer and firefighting demands, Leduc County has taken internal measures to restrict non-essential water use. Residential and commercial citizens are asked to join Leduc County in limiting non-essential water use.

Leduc County crews will continue to monitor water levels in local reservoirs. Updates will be shared on this page when available.
